Risk Officer

As a Risk Officer & Auditor, you will be responsible for safety of ships within your assigned fleet. You will be working on and initiate the lead for all incident investigations.

You oversee ISM audits to ensure internal audits are conducted annually on ships assigned to you, and in the most cost-effective way.

You will timely arrange and follow up on external flag state ISM/ISPS/ MLC audits for ships within your fleet.

Furthermore, you are responsible for hot work and Security (ISPS), as assigned by your manager. You report to the Risk Manager, and you will have a dotted-line to the Fleet Manager.

You will be working from our Singapore office within a professional team. We offer the possibility to partially work remote.

**Key responsibilities**
- Initiate the lead in all incident investigations on assigned fleet
- Coordinate with Risk Manager, Master, and responsible office departments for timely completion of incident reports and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage and follow up until closure of all Near Miss reports of your assigned fleet, and report high risk Near Miss reports to Risk Manager
- Follow the monthly internal ship audit schedule planned by senior Lead auditor, to ensure internal ISM audits are conducted annually on each ship and in the most cost-effective way.
- Arrange and follow up on external flag state ISM/ISPS/ MLC audits for ships within your fleet.
- Review hot work requests for ships in fleet, as assigned and assure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Support CSO in security duties, when directed
- Assist in training seminars for shore and sea staff as required.
- Advise the SSHEQ group on potential improvements in the management system.

**Qualifications**
- Preferred sailing experience as a senior officer on Tanker Ships for 2 years.
- Preferred to have completed Incident investigation course from recognized institute.
- Preferred to have completed ISM Internal auditor or Lead Auditor course from recognized body
- Proficient in Computer skills
- Preferred to have relevant experience in an HSQE position.
