He/she also assists the Managing Editor in reviewing and editing articles submitted by freelance writers/healthcare professionals to ensure adherence to project briefs and MIMS quality standards, and independently manages assigned editorial projects to ensure timely delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

- Independently produce well-written, scientifically accurate and clinically relevant news/feature articles based on press releases, press conferences, papers published in local/international medical/life science journals, presentations delivered at local/international medical conferences, and interviews with leading medical experts, for a target audience comprising various medical specialties
- Identify topics of clinical relevance and interest to the above target audience
- Generate ideas for content development based on knowledge in a range of therapeutic areas and understanding of trends/developments in healthcare
- Independently produce high-quality, scientifically accurate and engaging content for print and digital editorial projects (including articles, e-newsletters and videos) in alignment with content briefs provided by clients
- Independently manage assigned editorial projects and brief/manage freelance writers to ensure high quality, alignment with content brief, and timely delivery
- Peer-review and edit articles written by in-house/freelance writers and healthcare professionals to ensure adherence to MIMS quality standards and alignment with content briefs from clients
- Attend events, including press conferences, scientific symposia, and local/international medical conferences (after-hours and weekend attendance occasionally required)
- Prepare for and conduct insightful interviews with leading medical experts in various specialties for content development
- Assist the Managing Editor in project management and editorial operations, and identify solutions to project-related issues to ensure client and KOL satisfaction as well as timely completion of projects while maintaining editorial integrity

**Requirements**:

- A recognized degree in life science or healthcare, with knowledge in a range of therapeutic areas
- Excellent English writing and editing
- Ability to produce scientifically accurate, high-quality and engaging content for print and digital media in a consistent and efficient manner, with a high level of attention to details
- 4-5 years of experience in medical writing in a publication or communication agency setting
- Ability to present scientific data in engaging and well-structured articles in alignment with project brief
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while working under tight timelines
- Proficiency in communicating and conducting interviews with leading medical experts globally
- Excellent team spirit and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach in resolving issues
- Interest in medical innovation and healthcare, and the ability to identify and report relevant news
- Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills
