**Key Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
- Undertake these responsibilities in the project:
- Work with the research fellow, collaborators, and the industry partner to conduct the applied research
- Develop the prototype for testing
- Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.
- Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
- Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

**Job Requirements**:

- Have relevant competence in the areas of Deep Learning/Computer Vision
- Have a Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines
- Knowledge of autonomous vehicles or cyber security will be advantageous
- Hands-on experiences with computer systems

**Key Competencies**:

- Specialized in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant disciplines
- Proficient in developing computer systems
- Enthusiasm in the AV related research
- Knowledgeable in Deep Learning/Computer Vision
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with people within and external to the university
- Self-directed learner who believes in continuous learning and development
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Show strong initiative and take ownership of work

**Major Challenges**:

- Work with multiple parties including local university researchers, Industry partner and oversea researchers
- This project is competition-based, and thus the proposed solution will compete with other teams.
