Principal Piping Design Engineer

Ø Fully independently manage all engineering activities in Piping Design scope of work as a leader of Piping Design team.

Ø Establish the activity schedule in Piping Design to meet and achieve Project Key Milestones, and control all engineering activities in Piping Design on schedule.

Ø Plan manpower mobilization associated with the activity schedule in conjunction with the manhour budget and control the manpower loading within the budget.

Ø Prepare the engineering quality control plan and control the quality within the target.

Ø Decide the timing of purchasing piping materials and its quantities by him/herself, not fully relying on the engineering contractor’s data submission, by considering following aspects:
Ø To achieve the just-in-time delivery to construction fabrication yard

Ø To avoid ordering excess and unnecessary materials

Ø To understand the current engineering progress and quality, and to judge the maturity of available design information grade

Ø Communicate and correspond with the Client in technically to comply with contractual requirements as well as to minimize the deviation from Company’s engineering standard and specifications.

Ø Supervise the engineering contractor’s activities in Piping Design and monitor the quality of their deliverables. If the delay of schedule or the quality issue is observed, plan and take appropriate countermeasures.

Ø Design FPSO topside layout as optimal in view from safety, operability, maintainability. To do so, good understanding for the equipment (oil/gas separators, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, so on), the instrument (pressure, thermal, level, analyzer etc.), and the process system design specifically FPSO topside are essential.

Ø Provide all technical requirements from the project strategy to the engineering contractor and realize it in the actual design. Reflection of the material supply chain, construction scheme and commissioning sequence into the FPSO topside design is the most critical issue for the project success.

Ø Co-work and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to resolve any issue arising during project execution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering

Ø At least 25 years of experiences as Piping Engineer responsible for piping engineering and design, equipment layout, piping arrangement, flexibility analysis and/or piping material engineering in field in Petro Chemical, Oil and Gas Offshore Projects on FPSO or fixed platforms. At least 8 years experiences responsible for piping engineering, equipment layout, piping arrangement in upstream Oil and Gas Offshore Projects on FPSO Topside Engineering.

Ø At least 3 FPSO project experiences as Piping Engineer, 2 FPSO project experiences as Lead Engineer or Technical Supervisor in Piping Design.

Ø Have competitive engineering management knowledges as Lead Engineer in Piping Design, in view of the man resource planning, the budget controlling, the schedule planning/monitoring, the engineering quality controlling, the material order controlling.

Ø Have competitive engineering knowledges of Equipment Layout, Material Handling, Piping Design as shown above in FPSO or fixed platform.

Ø Have design experiences for following system equipment in modules, and able to plan the competitive and workable module layout by him/herself from scratch:
Ø Riser System

Ø Oil/Gas Separation Systems including Oil/Gas Separators

Ø Produced Water Treatment Equipment, Seawater Treatment Equipment

Ø Seawater/Cooling Water System, Water Injection System

Ø Gas Turbine Generators and Waste Heat Recovery System

Ø Gas Compressors System including compressors, scrubbers, coolers.

Ø Chemical Injecting System including chemical handling equipment

Ø Gas Dehydration System

Ø Flare System

Ø Willing to travel in short/mid-long term to go to overseas detail engineering contractor offices, module fabrication yards, integration yards, for meeting/coordination, client meetings, etc.

Ø Provide assistance to module construction team during module fabrication, installation/mechanical completion/commissioning. At least 2 FPSO project experiences are required for on-site technical support at module fabrication and/or integration yard.

Ø Familiar and aware of collaboration between inter-discipline engineering activities, material supply chain activities, construction schemes, pre-commissioning sequences.

Ø Have deep understanding and applied experience for following international code and standards into the piping design:
Ø ASME Design Codes: Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII/IX, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8

Ø ASME Codes related to Piping Materials: e.g. B16.5, B16.47, B16.9, B16.20, B16.25, B16.34, B36.10M, B36.19M

Ø ASTM Code related to Piping Materials: e.g. A106, A182, A216, A234, A333, A420, A694, A790, B444, B564

Ø API Standards: e.g. API RP 14E, API 5L, API 6D, API 594, API 600, API 602, API 617, API 618,

Ø MSS Standard
