**About the Milken Institute**
The Milken Institute is a globally minded, publicly supported, non-partisan, and nonprofit think tank headquartered in Santa Monica, with offices in Washington, DC, New York, London, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore. These activities are designed to help people build meaningful lives, in which they can experience health and well-being, pursue effective education and gainful employment, and access the resources required to create ever-expanding opportunities for themselves and their broader communities.**About the Position**This position will report to the Director of Programs and Events, Asia Center. This is a full-time position based in Singapore and the Associate must be available to work from the office as required.-

Analytical and Creative**: You are able to pull from numerous streams of information across disciplines and topics to synthesize interesting projects, topics, and speakers for Asia Center programs and events;
- ** Detail-oriented**: You are able to rigorously review written communications and other deliverables, while working productively on multiple projects and against various deadlines;
- ** Clear and Concise Communicator**: You are able to communicate messages clearly and concisely, both verbally and in you writing;
- ** Thoughtful and Proactive**: You are self-motivated to take ownership of numerous projects and advance the work with mínimal supervision, problem-solve various issues and propose innovative solutions, and proactive in proposing ideas for topics, events, and other programs to the rest of the team;
- ** Engaging**: You are able to build relationships with people to expand the Institute’s network and brand, clearly explaining the Institute’s work and connecting it to their roles and institutions.
- ** Team player**: You are cordial, professional, collaborative, and value consultation and feedback from your supervisor and colleagues at the Asia Center and other Milken Institute Centers and Departments around the world. You will also have the opportunity to hire and manage interns.
**Requirements**:
- A key interest in the intersection of finance, technology, personal health and well-being, and environmental health and the role of markets and public policy in addressing humanity’s greatest challenges
- Experience in program development, agenda building, events management and logistics, general administration, research, writing, and copy editing
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in economics, finance, and international relations, is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in English and preferably another Asian language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); CRM or Salesforce experience a plus
- Permit to work in Singapore and available to work in the office as required by the supervisor
- Willing to work across time zones as needed
- Willing to travel- **one** attachment.
