**Job Title: MEDICAL Device Biomedical Engineer**
**Responsibilities**:
- **Installation and Commissioning**:
- Install, configure, and set up equipment or systems at customer sites.
- Ensure that systems are working correctly according to specifications.
- Conduct system tests and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform TESTING of devices upon arrival to stocks
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and to prevent downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Repair malfunctioning equipment either on-site or remotely.
- **Customer Support**:
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the proper use of the equipment.
- Respond to service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document and report all service and repair activities.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service activities.
- Create detailed service reports after each job, summarizing the work performed.
- Update technical documentation and manuals as required.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Work closely with other departments such as R&D, Sales, and Customer Support.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide solutions and manage expectations.
- Report any major or recurring issues to the technical or product development team.
- **Compliance and Safety**:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures during installations and maintenance.
- Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with local regulations and company standards.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Degree or diploma in engineering (electrical, mechanical, electronics, IT, etc.), depending on the industry.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and technical equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and protocols.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
**Preferred Experience**:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role or field.
- Hands-on experience with medical devices or machinery relevant to the industry - Physiotherapy devices will be advantageous
- Experience in customer-facing roles, providing technical support or training.
**Work Environment**:
- Field-based work, often requiring travel to various customer locations.
- May involve heavy lifting or working in tight spaces depending on equipment.
- On-call availability for emergency repairs or support.
This job requires a balance of technical skills and customer service, as the Service Engineer is often the face of the company during interactions with clients.
