Aircraft Maintenance Planner

- The Maintenance Planer (MP) is responsible for closely monitoring the IFEC system performance and assigning both routine and non
- routine maintenance to airlines MRO / sub-contractor.
- MP will directly report to Line Maintenance Manager and will also assist the Logistics Supervisor to monitor IFE&C LRU usage and closely coordinate with the Thales Singapore Repair/Workshop facility to ensure IFE LRU’s are repaired in a timely manner
- Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for the following activities
- Assign work packages to sub-contractor/ Airline MRO
- Interface and coordination with customer/airline/sub-contractor maintenance teams;
- Recording maintenance activities in web based reporting tools to track system availability, dispatch availability and maintenance activities;
- Monitor IFE&C LRU usage activities
- Coordination with Thales Repair/Workshop staff
- Performs, monitors, and reports daily operational activities to ensure Customer and Thales objectives are met, underperformance identified and reported to management.
- Ensure the relevant company management and procedures manuals are adhered to (e.g. Liaison Manual / GMM / GMMS). Identify any areas within the manuals that require attention and highlight to management.
- Ensure the use of reporting tools such as the GMMS Forms and ‘SERVO’ are utilized to capture all the required data. 100% data input accuracy is essential.
- Report local administrative issues to Line Maintenance Manager.
- Represents Line Maintenance to identify and address material obsolescence issues with other functional departments such as Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and other departments as necessary resolve issues.
- Safety, security, storage, accounting and monitoring of all the stores under their control, received from Thales and from the customer.
- Contribute to minimize and manage maintenance activity costs.
- Work with the team to ensure processes and procedures are established, followed and maintained within the Maintenance, Quality and Material, Repair and Administrative functions of the Line Maintenance Station.
- Work with the team to ensure that Thales receives the service as per contract from the line maintenance suppliers
- Essential Knowledge and skills:

- Qualification
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronic/ Communication Engineering
- Technical Diploma program conducted by Air Transport Training College (ATTC)
- Diploma in Aerospace Engineering or aviation related
- Experience
- Minimum of three (3) year experience working in an aerospace environment, having knowledge of Thales IFE and Connectivity systems are parts would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience in engineering discipline or at least two years of work experience in Airlines Engineering Planning or in line maintenance.
- Specialized Knowledge / Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with all levels of management internally or externally. Must be able to maintain business confidentiality.
