**What the role is**
- We are looking for a temporary staff to be part of the Blood Services Group (BSG), Blood Resources Division. The appointee for this position will be a Locum Blood Professional Assistant who supports the blood collection operation in the blood bank. He/she is expected to commit up to 21 hours per week. The appointee may be deployed to any blood bank or mobile blood collection drive, depending on operation needs.

**What you will be working on**
- Responsibilities:

- Perform registration duties which include registering donor for donation, handling donor enquiries and assisting donor to book appointment for next donation and phlebotomy linking
- Conduct haemoglobin testing and capping which includes taking blood for haemoglobin test, explaining to donor on deferral if required, checking, sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing it to the laboratory
- Assist phlebotomist in whole blood pre and post donation procedure which includes blood bag preparation, bandaging and stripping of blood bags

**What we are looking for**
- Requirements:

- Able to work weekends and afternoon shifts. Not required to perform overnight shift.
- Relevant working experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
