Our client is a privacy-focused technology company that has built a portfolio of privacy products ranging from VPN to private second phone apps, ensuring users safety across every touchpoint online. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join their team to build the future of Internet Privacy and Communications.

**Responsibilities: **
- Work with state of the art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems
- Implement backend services needed for our Private Communications / Messaging / VOIP platform
- Design and architect innovative, modern solutions
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards
- Work with frontend team to fine tune existing APIs
- System architecture design
- Collaborate with other developers to innovate on our internal platform, shared components, libraries and development toolchain

**Requirements: **
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas
- 3+ years of experience in backend software development
- Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms
- Passionate about coding, innovation, and solving challenging problems
- Experience in TypeScript/NodeJS, MySQL, AWS
