**Requirements**:

- Solid systems skill in building, run and maintenance, troubleshooting.
- VMware VCP/VCAP-DCV is strongly preferred
- Certification and experience in majority of the Linux OS flavours
- Certification and Experience in Windows OS and platforms
- Certification and experience in Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Experience with VMware VCF, vROps, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC, Horizon (VDI)
- Knowledge and experience with computing and storage systems and basic networking (TCP, routing, switching)
- Significant experience using Linux platforms is strongly preferred.
- Familiar with backup technologies and Disaster Recovery methodologies
- Experience in HCI platforms
- Strong experience in HPE, EMC, and Hitachi Storage and SAN

**Responsibilities**:

- Determining business needs and evaluating existing VM infrastructure and systems.
- Optimizing network hardware and software to enable VMware integration.
- Developing and deploying customised VMware solutions.
- Designing and implementing virtualization environment and enabling life cycle management.
- Installing operating systems and service packs, as well as security patches and bug fixes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues.
- Providing technical support and documenting VMware processes.
- Keeping informed of developments in VMware technologies and products.
- Defining Linux virtual machines and life cycle management.
- Work within the ITIL framework for Incident, change and problem management.
- Take ownership of technical escalations and customer requests and work towards resolving them within the SLAs defined in the SOW.
- Participate in the auctioning and closure of outstanding work displayed in the Service Management toolset
- Provide input into the customer’s strategy and planning.
- Provide analysis and make technical recommendations in the monthly report.
- Provide support assistance on non-specialisation technologies.
- Participate in the on-call roster
