The Offshore group has vast expertise in brokerage, serves the shipping and offshore industry worldwide by providing shipbrokering services within chartering, sale and purchase and contracting of ships and offshore units. We maintain a strong relationship and extensive communication with the majority of the world’s leading shipowners and oil companies which represents a considerable source of business opportunities.

**What you will be doing**
- Support the day-to-day activities of the Senior Brokers on the Offshore desk
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Develop knowledge and expertise relevant to the shipping market, in particular Offshore broking
- Establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally
- Prepare bespoke reports and be able to conduct analysis of the market for both external clients and internal discussion purposes
- Help to identify ways to drive and develop new business and identify and introduce new clients
- Help to manage internal data flow of key market information
- Attend meetings and events with clients where required
- Help to conduct post fixture support in a prompt and efficient manner, including sorting out disputes or issues
- Be abreast of technological developments in the offshore sector and in the green transition space
- Continue to build knowledge in the Offshore arena and market space
- Assist with producing internal and external reporting on meetings attendedBe able to think on the feet and think outside the box for strategies for projects

**What we are looking for**

**Key Attributes**
- A good university degree majoring in Maritime Studies or a related discipline
- Previous experience or exposure within broking/offshore industry is desirable but is not mandatory
- Knowledge of the Offshore market will be an advantage, with technical expertise or experience being a bonus
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good aptitude for learning
- Have a general understanding of the technical aspects of shipping, or curiosity for it
- Able to build strong working relationships with clients
- Good commercial judgement with good negotiation skills
- Driven self motivated and is a team player
- Some understanding on the legal components of various contracts
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent presentation skills
- Confident and able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Strong MS office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, WordResourceful in solving problems and comes forth with alternative solutions instead of only presenting a problem
