Snr / Manager, Day Hospice, Operations and

**What You Will Do**:
You will report to the CEO and ensure daily operational requirements for service delivery are met. You will be engaged in mid to long term forecasting for more strategic measures so that HCA is poised to effectively handle expansion plans and trial new models of care. You will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our day hospices and lead the team to ensure that regulatory requirements and service levels are met while being able to incorporate novel elements of care and support. You will work closely with the other heads of departments to meet the organisation’s and patients’ expectations. You will also be responsible for facility management and procurement for HCA in general.

The scope of work will generally encompass the following duties:
1. Day Hospice & Warehouse Operations
- Ensures regulatory compliance so that policies and procedures are implemented in compliance with the directives, guidelines and standards of MOH and other government agencies
- Oversees and drive Day Hospice operations, establishing an environment that creatively support the physical and mental well-being of our patients and their caregivers. This includes manpower planning in close collaboration with the volunteer management team and resource availability. Plan and enable staffing levels and capabilities to optimise staff-to-patient ratio in all day hospice centres in accordance to our operational philosophy of according Dignity, Diversity and Development to patients and families under our care.
- Oversees and drive Equipment Warehouse operations to ensure a smooth and effective home equipment loan process in support of home hospice patients and families
- Prepares and manages the annual budget and ensure adequate resources to support the activities in your department
- Ensures regular review of policies, practices, SOPs and level of service for continuous improvement. Ensure that policies, SOPs and manuals are updated regularly and documented

2. Procurement
- Establishes clear and transparent procurement procedures and monitors all purchases for compliance
- Manages vendors to ensure compliance with Regulatory and HCA requirementsDevelops and puts in place inventory control management systems and ensures monitoring
- Ensures regular review of policies, practices, SOPs and level of service for continuous improvement. Ensure that policies, SOPs and manuals are updated regularly and documented
- Establishes effective communication channels within the department and ensure that staff are updated on new developments and changes

3. Facilities Management
- Ensures regulatory compliance so that policies and procedures are implemented in compliance with the directives, guidelines and standards of MOH and other government agencies
- Responsible for the security, maintenance and services of work facilities and consumables to ensure that they meet the needs of HCA and our people.
- Responsible to coordinating all emergency preparedness protocols to ensure business continuity in the event of an emergency incident.

**Who You Are**:

- Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 7 years of similar work experience in a healthcare setting
- A proven track record of leadership
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Able to multitask, work independently and in a team
- Proactive, resourceful, able to work under pressure
