Overview:
The Director Global Supply Chain is responsible for developing and managing the supplier base; ensuring suppliers are aligned with our specifications, process and quality requirements; and driving inventory efficiencies and cost management.
Must align supply chain strategies to Spacelabs business and market needs, enabling revenue and profitability objectives of Spacelabs. Cross-functional collaboration and communication are critical success factors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develops vision, strategy, and execution plans for categories of spend that enable near and long-range business outcomes and improves value for the Company.
- Integrate Commercial Operations forecasts into an executable Supply Chain strategy that enables the company to deliver optimal and consistent results.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures necessary to select, maintain and develop an effective supply chain. Negotiate favorable commercial terms for price, delivery, quality, and total landed cost of inventory. Partner with OSI for group procurement arrangements.
- Acts as a business engagement leader, identifying business demand requirements and delivers annual value improvements and competitive advantage.
- Understands and implements long range requirements by engaging in strategic partnering and planning to ensure alignment and coverage.
- Develops and maintains supplier relationship management (SRM) with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s), performance management, improvements of end-to-end value and innovation projects and objectives.
- Manage global inventory throughout the demand process and product life cycle. Balance cost of inventory with production and customer demand requirements as well as service requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing for effective supplier and parts selection, new product launches/releases/ECOs, and cost and quality initiatives.
- Develop, implement and maintain a strategy to meet best cost basis requirements for U.S. government sales.
- Develops and maintains supplier relationship management (SRM) with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s), performance management, improvements of end-to-end value and innovation projects and objectives.
- Ensure processes must meet company, quality and regulatory requirements. Continuous attention to improvements and synergies are expected.
- Lead the global supply chain employees, coach, mentor and raise the teams’ ability to deliver results, while creating opportunities for development and succession.

- It is the responsibility of every Spacelabs Healthcare employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field.
- 10+ years supply chain commercial and quality management experience, with a minimum 5 of years in a management role. Previous experience working in medical device or highly regulated industry, and working with broad, hi-mix inventory required.
- Skilled at developing and implementing business process solutions to improve supply chain quality, costs and efficiencies. Past achievement of significant cost reduction in purchased parts and materials. Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience working with advanced manufacturing techniques, DFT, QRM and Lean.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience delivering results through others, both direct and matrixed. Ability to lead, develop, motivate and hold others accountable.
- Leadership skills including the ability to structure work, select employees, inspire performance, foster teams, use/share information and facilitate change.
