Legal Counsel

We are looking for a new lawyer to assume the role of Legal Counsel APAC and support our business in the areas of legal and compliance. This person will be part of a highly driven and motivated multi-cultural international team of lawyers.

You will work closely with all functions and business leads and their teams to provide practical and commercially-focused legal advice to support the growth and expansion of the business in APAC region. In addition to legal topics and advice, you will support to implement global compliance policies, processes and trainings for APAC region.

**What you will do**
***:

- Draft, Review and negotiate commercial contracts with customers/vendors and any other third parties
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice to business partners on general corporate law, employment law issues and any other legal issues and risks arising out of day-to-day operations.
- Ensure good overview and maintenance of all corporate secretarial matters and records for all WSA entities in the region.
- Provide legal support on retail M&A, pre acquisitions due diligence and customer loan/financing projects in APAC.
- Support on rolling out Compliance Trainings
- Prepare and conduct trainings for employees on such other legal and/or compliance topics as may be assigned.
- Implement global initiatives, projects and reporting obligations as may be cascaded from Chief Legal Officer.

**What you bring**:

- Experience_
- 3+ years (additional years preferred) of related legal experience in a law firm or corporate environment
- Admitted to practice law in any country in APAC is a nice to have
- Strong knowledge of, and experience relating to APAC laws
- Personal competencies_
- Highly effective at building and sustaining excellent relationships at multiple levels, throughout the organization as well as externally
- Ethical, confident and being open to learn
- Bias towards action and results delivery which are critical in a highly performance-oriented environment; passion for quality and efficiency and a strong “can-do” attitude
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills working with global stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
