**Position Description: CYBER/ IT Network Engineer**

**Job Summary**:
Services include providing general IT support across a wide range of technical services. Field service technical support includes but is not limited to, operating an entire site remotely, providing IT support services at remote field and garrison sites, performing basic cabling and server/desktop installation, performing systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, supporting VTC operations, maintaining and loading cryptographic keys, and performing troubleshooting on many types of hardware and software.

Additionally, will work with U. S. Navy personnel to assist in migrating data to temporary networks. As a leader in area of operation, you will handle any number of different projects providing guidance and mentorship to your teams. Our team supports continuity of day-to-day operations while US Navy ships are undergoing extended periods of maintenance and upgrades.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leverage SRF-JRMC’s Service Desk capability to include customer self-help services, online support services, and customer representative services specific to Ship Repair Facility, Japan Regional Maintenance Center’s (SRF-JRMC) IT capabilities and management. Additionally, the contractor shall support SRF-JRMC on all Flank Speed to ensure SRU’s personnel can access SRF’s data and sharepoint capabilities on Flank Speed.
- Provide Field Service Support at designated Government locations within the Contiguous United States (CONUS) or outside the contiguous United States (OCONUS). Services include providing general IT support across a wide range of technical services. Field service technical support includes but is not limited to, operating an entire site remotely, providing IT support services at remote field and garrison sites, performing basic cabling and server/desktop installation, performing systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, supporting VTC operations, maintaining and loading cryptographic keys, and performing troubleshooting on many types of hardware and software.
- Support the required Certification and Accreditation reviews on deployed SRF-JRMC Network IT equipment (e.g. Laptops) located in Singapore to ensure compliance to vulnerability scans, security reviews, test and evaluation studies, risk mitigations, and all other documentation necessary to support SRF-JRMC’s Network Authority to Operate in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) (DoD 8510.1-M).
- Responsible for the full range of activities necessary to accredit the Enterprise Security System (ESS), Private Branch Exchange (PBX) Phones, and Platform IT systems (PIT) under RMF in NIST SP 800-37 as promulgated DoD/DoN Cybersecurity Handbook This includes all 6 steps of RMF: System categorization, select security controls, implement security controls, assess security controls, authorize system, and monitor security controls. Contractor should be familiar with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (eMASS), as it will be used as the primary repository for maintaining, archiving, and reporting on all aspects of the accreditation process. Contractor will ensure artifacts are current and updated, and vulnerabilities are assessed, mitigated, or documented.
- Serve as an extension of SRF-JRMC’s Helpdesk, ensuring deployed SRF LAN IT assets are regularly connected and are consistently patched, and secured.
- Must maintain the authorization record for all IT systems requiring an Authority to Operate under the ownership of COMLOGWESTPAC N43 SRU (e.g. Enterprise Security System, Platform IT, etc..) related for the RMF protection for the system w/in the enterprise mission assurance support service (eMASS).
- Deviations from compliance must have associated plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms)
- Must provide consultation and decision support around architecture, operations, and compliance WRT adopting new cybersecurity/information assurance tools, tactics, or processes/procedures
- Ensure the adoption of the latest RMF guidance from both the DON and DOD
- Ensure Standard Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), patches, monitoring and scanning, and remediation of any vulnerabilities are done on a regular basis and on time
- Ensure data is protected as required per its classification.
