**JOB SUMMARY**
You will provide public health expertise to develop, implement and advance population medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Central Health. This is a broad-based technical role which delivers population health management, research and education. Using established public health methods, the public health professional will support development and implementation of infrastructure, intelligence and interventions functions within a population health management framework. There will be emphasis on systems approach, evidence-based public health and preventive medicine. As a member of the Department of Preventive and Population Medicine (DPPM), at the Office of Clinical Epidemiology, Analytics, & Knowledge (OCEAN), you will work with other departments in TTSH and Central Health.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communicate with population health managers to understand priorities in population health transformation, and provide public health technical expertise and advice to support the transformation and improve the performance of our health system.
- Support development of population health data infrastructure
- Understand population needs, perform opportunity analysis, develop tools to target those in need and perform impact assessment
- Support the planning and development of population health strategies, interventions and programmes
- Maintain and manage evidence and knowledge resources
- Collect, store, analyse, interpret and present population health data
- Develop strategic collaborations between DPPM/OCEAN and stakeholders from within and outside of TTSH and Central Health.
- Provide inputs and expertise for the write-up of manuscripts, together with the program owners, to disseminate findings to the wider scientific community to improve patient care and population health outcomes.
- Contribute to educational activities relevant to population medicine

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Master degree in Public Health, or equivalent
- Possess at least 2-3 years’ work experience in a related role (e.g. healthcare management and administration, epidemiology, health services research) in a health-related setting such as government, hospitals, public health organizations.
- Effective communication skills, and good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong problem solving skills. Resourceful and motivated, takes initiative in one’s work
- Proficiency in statistical software package (e.g., SAS/STATA/SPSS/R) would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of and experience with qualitative research methodology such as interviews, focus groups, or ethnographic research would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of and experience with health systems research would be an advantage.
