**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for maximizing economic results of assigned area/contracts/voyages, participate in target setting, business performance reporting and implementation of policy decisions for TC-in/out desk.
- Managing the team by displaying leadership skills in all aspects of the work.
- Accountable for the team fulfilling all responsibilities of the designated area/contracts/voyages including reporting and other responsibilities related to the vessel charter activities.
- Recommend, coordinate, and execute related commercial activities including negotiate Trip and Time charters across multiple vessel classes (Handysize to Ultramax etc) to maximise revenues.
- Manage, develop and expand relationships with Charters, brokers and ship owners in the global market.
- Manage, ensure and own all necessary information in the IMOS operating system is communicate clearly on any variances, and identifying solutions.
- Manage information flows and external communications constantly with market participants.
- Negotiate charter party contracts and ensure relevant documentations are complete adhere with all corporate standards and procedures.
- Monitor freight rates, routes, segments, and freight future agreements and provide daily market analysis. To provide advice and recommendations on chartering matters to the individual trade desks
- Liaise with operations and internal/external counterparties to resolve any issues arising from vessel charters.
- Identify new market opportunities in the dry bulk and breakbulk charter sector
- Liaise with Open Hatch/conventional bulk/project cargo colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach to tonnage chartering and new business development
- Monitor/pursue spot arbitrage opportunities.

**Key Requirement**
- Bachelor in Maritime Studies or relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant break bulk shipping business. Some experience in team leadership capacity would be an advantage
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to handle complex negotiations
- Ability to operate a portfolio of cargoes and ships, monitor voyage performance and being fully responsible for final P&L
- Strong commerical acumen
- Demonstrate a track record in successful Bulk spot and time chartering with proven execution abilities
- Team oriented with a strong ability to establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
