An exciting new component of our arcade experience ecosystem is Arcade Legend - a Virtual Reality game launching on Steam and the official Quest store. Combined with a range of physical arcade games, VR experiences, and other exciting arcade-based titles in development, our team members have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of unique and innovative projects that engage and delight players across physical and virtual worlds.
We’re looking for a Concept Artist that will create the art that empowers the team to realize the vision of our games, from what you see and explore in the virtual world, to the physical cabinet you interact with at the arcade. This is a highly creative role for an artist with a vibrant imagination coupled with a high degree of artistic skill.
Producing amazing concepts that support and further the vision of the game, this role is highly impactful and rewarding as you see the influence and impact of your contributions to the team and our projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Create environmental concepts that include landscapes, architectural designs, props and occasional mood paintings
- Work closely with the rest of the art team to maintain a consistent aesthetic across game assets
- Block out assets in 3D to ensure proportions and dimensions are accurate, and designs holds up in 3D
- Create detailed and accurate turnarounds so that 3D artists can perfectly create the asset according to specifications
- Drive quality and consistency by providing detailed feedback and approvals for assets.
- Iterate on in-game assets via paint overs and regular reviews
- Participate in creative design sessions and regular art reviews
- Work with team leads to flesh out and expand the game's artistic direction, contributing to cabinet designs, cabinet art, in-game art, lighting, and more
- Create benchmark art assets and best practices guides.
- Maintain clear and concise communication, relying on effective people skills
Required Skills and Experience
- Self-motivated, great communication skills, and teammate
- 3+ years experience as a concept artist
- Mastery of digital content creation tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent visual communication skills, deep understanding of composition, colour theory, values, forms, shape language and silhouette
- Able to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished concept, and an understanding of how to adapt these ideas to real-time game environments
- Experience using version control systems such as Perforce or Git
- Working knowledge of software packages such as Maya, 3Ds Max or Blender
- A passion for video games
Nice to have experience, non-mandatory:
- Experience creating high-quality 3D models, textures, and UV maps
- Experience working with task management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc)
- Experience concepting VFX
- Experience implementing assets into Unity 3D
- Experience with UI/UX designs
- Experience working in VR / AR
- Experience in Substance Painter
