Freelance Code Combat

**Location**: Islandwide

**General Timing**: 3-5pm weekdays

**Job Summary**:
Are you passionate about coding, gaming, and education? Whizz Kidz SG is looking for **creative and dedicated Code Combat and Minecraft Instructors** to join our team This is an exciting opportunity to teach children aged 6-15 the fundamentals of coding and game-based learning through platforms like **Code Combat** and **Minecraft Education Edition**. Whether you're a graduate, student, or someone looking for a fun and rewarding part-time role, this position is for you Previous experience in coding or teaching is a plus, but not required—training will be provided. A commitment to a minimum of **6 months** is required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Deliver engaging coding lessons**: Teach students to code through **Code Combat** and **Minecraft**. Use these platforms to introduce concepts like logic, problem-solving, and programming principles in a fun and interactive way.
- **Facilitate game-based learning**: Guide students through Minecraft Education Edition, helping them create in-game projects and use coding techniques to solve challenges.
- **Monitor student progress**: Provide constructive feedback on students' coding projects, help them troubleshoot problems, and encourage creativity and innovation in game design and coding.
- **Classroom management**: Create a positive, organized, and professional learning environment that fosters creativity and teamwork among students.
- **Parent communication**: Address any parent queries and provide regular updates on student progress in a professional manner.
- **Collaboration**: Work alongside fellow instructors to ensure smooth operations, share ideas, and contribute to the development of a fun, interactive learning experience.
- **Promote the organization**: Contribute to the promotion and development of Whizz Kidz SG’s coding and game-based learning programs in alignment with our mission to make learning enjoyable and interactive.

**Key Requirements**:

- **Interest in coding and gaming**: A passion for coding and game-based education, particularly through platforms like Code Combat and Minecraft.
- **Teaching experience**: Previous experience teaching children is a plus, but not mandatory.
- **Strong communication skills**: Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- **Professionalism and responsibility**: Punctuality, class preparation, and a professional approach to teaching are essential.
- **Creative and organized**: Ability to manage class materials, create engaging lessons, and maintain an organized teaching environment.
- **Commitment**: Must be willing to commit to a minimum term of 6 months to provide continuity for our students.

**Additional Skills & Experience (Preferred but not required)**:

- Experience with **Minecraft Education Edition** or **Code Combat**.
- Previous experience working with children (ages 6-15).
- Interest or experience in game design, programming, or interactive digital learning.
- Familiarity with basic coding concepts, logic, and problem-solving.
