Facilities and Utilities Assistant

The Facilities and Utilities Assistant is part of the Operations team that manages day to day operation of all Facilities and Utilities system and Warehouse Handling Equipment in the plant. The primary role is to provide competent & effective mechanical maintenance for the Facilities and Utilities support to the Plant operations. This position is responsible for the plant grounds and the operation and maintenance of many types of facility equipment.

**Facilities and Utilities, Warehouse Handling Equipment Maintenance**
- Perform routine inspections of equipment ensuring its functionality is maintained.
- Monitor and record operational parameter data on all utility and facility equipment such as: HVAC, Compressed air systems, BMS, and security systems etc.
- Perform Ad Hoc troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance for repair.
- Supervise vendors in their work and ensure task is performed as required
- Assist to generate work order forms to ensure timely and thorough job completion.
- Effectively manage the operation and maintenance of Utilities to reduce the likelihood of a significant disruption of utilities (i.e., HVAC - heating and cooling, electricity, water, compressed air, etc) provided to the site and assures around-the-clock responsiveness to mechanical failures or emergency situations, remaining available for on-call technical support for emergency responses.
- Support the site’s OEE targets by the provision of 100% site services and utility availability.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing facility and utilities maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff and allocate resources accordingly.
- Manage the provision of outsourced services (Fire Protection services, Security services, office cleaning, Pest Control Service, HVAC etc.) to achieve agreed service/performance levels.
- Manage Plant Engineering tools, equipment, accessories, and utility spare part stores.
- Calculate spare parts and Engineering consumables (cleaning chemicals, oil lubricants, etc) requirement and raise PR when needed.
- Assist to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Change Controls pertaining to setup, maintenance, and operation of equipment, facility, and utilities.
- Be part of Company Emergency Response Team.

**Environmental, Safety and Health**
- Lead the operational execution of Integrated Management Systems and continuous improvement standards such as ISO 14000, ISO 45001.
- Conduct periodic environmental checks in accordance with statuary requirement i.e. air emission quality, lighting, noise, heat stress to verify compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage all non-contract waste handling activities and ensure that all waste disposal is managed in a manner that conforms to all the relevant local and national statutory requirements.
- Assist in closing any unsafe observation gaps during weekly safety walkdown.
- Assist on update of the Safety Notice board.
- Assist in closing any findings during monthly GMP walkdown.

**Job Requirements
- Diploma / University Degree in any Engineering field
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing organization on coordinating and managing plant preventive maintenance and calibration for warehouse and utility equipment.
- Have minimum knowledge of Facilities, Utilities and Warehouse Material Handling Equipment’s but have the willingness to learn.
- Experience working with pneumatic/power/and electrical transmission and fluid transfer systems.
- Understanding of electrical control systems and PLC systems.
- SAP Knowledge would be highly advantageous.
