An opportunity exists for a self-driven production Senior Underwriter to be an integral member of the Global Facultative and Corporate (F&C) entity, the role reports to the Head of Facultative Property Asia. In this role you will explore new business opportunities and manage your defined portfolio on a sustainable basis.

Your job
- Underwriting of Hi-Tech property accounts on a facultative basis throughout Asia in tight collaboration with our local offices including risk assessment, evaluation and provision of reinsurance terms & conditions in accordance with the applicable underwriting authority, underwriting guidelines, internal directives, targets and client strategies. This includes being an active member of the Global High Tech Specialist Group
- Building and sustaining a Facultative property business (all industries) whilst driving sustainable growth of the portfolio throughout SEA including the active and operational support of the Facultative property Units in other Asian markets
- Singapore acts a regional centre for Asia. As such it is expected to provide expertise and 4-eye support to the other local units
- Developing and growing a sustainable book of business and exploiting new business potentials through active development of relationships vis-a-vis clients and brokers
- Developing innovative insurance solutions and products in addition to conventional covers in close cooperation with other business units
- Providing expert advice to regional Client Managers and Treaty Underwriters
- Organizing and conducting seminars/workshops for clients and internal staff, providing clients with value-added services
- Organizing and conducting surveys of large/complex property risks for clients, including preparing internal and external reports (if required)
- Evaluating special treaty acceptance requests by cedants for treaty team from a technical point of view
- Executing portfolio performance and market analyses
- Maintaining and expanding technical and market know-how

**Profile**:

- Minimum 10 years of professional underwriting experience in Facultative Property (Re)Insurance, preferably with strong focus on the High tech business segment in Asia
- Expert-level knowledge of the relevant underwriting processes including risk evaluation, pricing high level of competence in reviewing contract wording exercises for the complex business segment
- Preferably, min. 5 years of professional underwriting experience in the Oil & Gas business segment
- Capabilities and passion to actively conduct and solicit business opportunities
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural environment and multi-location teams
- Strong analytical and communicational skills
- Fluent English and preferably in Japanese, Chinese, Korean or any other Asian language skills
- Conscientious business acumen, creativity, ability to work in a diverse team
- Entrepreneurial mind-set and a passion to work in a fresh-start environment
