**What you will be working on**
- The principal roles of the blast engineer are as follows:

- Participates in in-house R&D studies and R&D collaboration projects with external partners, with regards to technical domains such building components against blast effects and global structural response under progressive collapse;
- Provides in-house technical consultancy to support development projects and to address specific gaps related to technical domains such as building components against blast effects and global structural response under progressive collapse.

**What we are looking for**
- Requirements
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree / Master / PhD in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- Good knowledge in conventional building designs involving reinforced concrete, structural steel, and composite structures.
- Either already registered as a practicing Professional Engineer (Civil) or has the intention to progress towards such accreditation, is preferred.
- Broad knowledge in Finite Element Method (FEM) calculations.
- At least 1 year of prior experience in blast engineering is preferred.
- Team player with strong willingness and motivation to be trained towards developing advanced capabilities related to blast engineering.
- Good command of written and spoken English.

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
