- WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Marketplace team is looking for a Store Operations Director who will develop the Athlete and Retail Operations strategy to connect and serve Nike consumers in Southeast Asia and India. With an innovative and strategic mindset, the Store Operations Director will be instrumental in developing and executing future retail capabilities for our fleet. In this role, you will be responsible for all countries in SEAI (primarily focusing on Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Philippines and Indonesia).
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Develop strategies necessary for the development and implementation of retail best practices, operational standards, business processes, and policies and procedures.
- Establish key benchmarks and performance measures to assess operational effectiveness. Establish processes to analyze results and develop plans for improving business practices to maximize profitability.
- Provide expertise on store development projects to ensure efficient use of capital and company assets:

- WFM and Labor
- New Concept Operations
- RFID
- Future Retail Capabilities
- Technology training and implementation
- Store productivity
- General FOH and BOH Operations
- Loss Prevention, Safety and Crisis Management oversight
- Partner with retail field leadership to integrate implementation and delivery of operational improvements and related communications and training with overall retail business plan.
- Develop overall communication and training strategy to ensure that stores have necessary information and education resources to consistently execute operational standards.
- Select, lead, evaluate, coach, train, and develop a team of Athlete Retail Operations professionals and Managers.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You’ll be the point person for Store Operations and report to the Marketplace Unit Lead. There are many cross functional teams that you will partner on a daily basis such as Retail District Manager (RDM), Store Teams, Demand & Supply Management (DSM), Technology, Finance, Nike Athlete Experience (NAX), Supply Chain, Consumer Marketing, Real Estate and Human Resource. Our business spans across a few countries and you will be collaborating with a large, diverse team of Nike people as well as managing outside suppliers and vendors.
- WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, post graduate degree preferred.
- 8+ years Multi store retail operations experience with 3 years management experience.
- Project Leadership: ability to effectively scope and execute projects and to lead cross-functional teams.
- Cultural Intelligence: proven success working across cultures, adapting global business strategies, building cultural awareness in others and engaging cultural humility.
- Communication: proven ability to craft and articulate compelling presentations with engaging storytelling for communicating strategies and recommendations.
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- A passion for Nike - our product, our brand and our mission - and more generally for sports and fashion.
- Fluent in English.
