**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Membrane Scientist in conducting membrane formulation trials, membrane characterization, data analysis and prepare reports/presentations to support new developments for key projects, or programs for different membrane configurations
- Assist Hollow Fiber Membrane Manufacturing Team member in spinning fibers for module manufacturing as requested by the Engineering Team and subsidiaries
- Co-ordinate with the Engineering Team to address any membrane performance issues
- Maintenance and upkeep of Fiber Drying Room and In-house Wastewater Treatment System: ensure that the Fiber Drying Room is maintained within target temperature and relative humidity
- Assist with Dried hollow fiber membranes to be packed in plastic tubes and labelled accordingly
- In charge of Operation of the in-house Wastewater Treatment System to ensure that the treated wastewater is within specification prior to discharge into the local sewer
- Handle safety and housekeeping: fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Daily housekeeping within working areas
- Provide regular updates of individual projects through monthly reviews/reports, technical reviews, stage-gate reviews

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of industrial experience
- Mechanical Aptitude: Hands-on orientation to conduct experiments and maintain equipment
- Prior knowledge / experience with membrane technology and organic chemistry is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong team spirit, interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Willing to work on shifts, if required
