We are expanding and are hiring a skilled Senior Data Engineer to become a key member of our core engineering team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate Senior Data Engineer to design and build a cloud-based data solution (lake, warehouse, lakehouse) from scratch.

The goal of the Data Platform is to extract data from the micro-services and generate valuable data insights which can govern business decisions taken by the company. You will lead the build of a centralised data repository which stores high-quality data to be used by BI, data analysts and engineering teams.

**As a Senior Data Engineer, you will**:

- Design and build a scalable and robust data architecture in the cloud that suits the company’s needs
- Build data pipelines that clean, transform and aggregate data from multiple sources.
- Build a data platform with data discovery, lineage and governance
- Construct data models to store reliable data and have good performance
- Write tests to detect issues with data in upstream sources
- Perform data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Develop monitoring systems to measure data stats
- Closely collaborate with different teams to gather data requirements and business needs

**As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have the following**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, M/R, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink etc.)
- Experience with building end-to-end data pipelines using a modern data stack (ETL/ELT, orchestration, data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse, data visualization etc)
- Experience with building batch/stream data processing for big dataProficient in modelling data based on business requirements
- Advanced level of SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
- Knowledge of programming languages (eg. Python)
- Experience implementing cloud-based data solutions
- Passionate about learning new data technologies in the industry
- Good communication skills
