Trade Operation Team Leader

**Job Summary**
In this role as **manager **level, you will lead the trade operations team, ensure smooth functioning of the department and resolve any problems in cargo & shipping logistics.
You will be given developmental opportunities in front office if suitable. You interact regularly with stakeholders - internal (i.e., Traders, Finance, Risk Control and Analyst) and external (i.e., suppliers, buyers, surveyors, shipowners, agents, forwarders, banks). You are contactable 24/7 due to time-critical requirement of cargo and vessel.
**Main Scope of Work and Responsibility**
1. Handle shipping and cargo documentation.
2. Co-ordinate cargo loading and discharging schedules, as well as vessel nomination.
3. Execute LC-related requirements (prepare, issuance, negotiate).
4. Initiate laytime calculations/LTC and settle LTC with relevant parties.
5. Initiate invoicing for cargo and LTC settlement.
6. Safekeep original contracts and trade documentation.
7. Maintain records of contract, shipment, cargo, invoice and payment in CTM system.
8. Review commercial and charterparty contracts.
9. Booking freight (container and bulk) for cargo shipment.
10. Track receivables and payables for settlement.
11. Review/Update operations policy and procedure document.
12. Assist in preparing tender documentation.
**Requirements and Desired Attributes**
- Min 5 years of core experience in handling commodity operations.
- Additional experience in chartering/agency operation is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in international trade and shipping i.e., Incoterms, lay time calculations, BL, cargo insurance, letters of credit etc.
- Well-versed in MS office programs.
- Be accountable and a responsible team leader.
- Can work in time-critical and dynamic trading environment.
- Open to learning new skills and new experience.
