**Position Overview**:
Seeking for a veterinary radiologist is a board-certified specialist responsible for diagnosing medical conditions in animals through advanced imaging techniques. Collaborate closely with veterinarians, veterinary specialists, and other team members to interpret diagnostic images and guide treatment plans for a wide range of animal species.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Diagnostic Imaging**:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including radiographs, ultrasound, echocardiography, CT scans and MRI scans.
- Supervise and perform specialized imaging-guided procedures, such as fine needle aspirates, biopsies, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure proper positioning, safety, and care for patients during imaging studies.
- Provide detailed and accurate written reports of imaging findings to referring veterinarians.
- Work closely with imaging technicians to perform imaging procedures.
- Work closely with imaging technicians to maintain and monitor imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
2 **.**Collaboration with other Departments**:
- Collaborate with veterinarians from other departments and specialists to develop diagnostic and treatment plans based on imaging results.
- Offer second-opinion consultations on complex cases.
3 **.**Training and Mentorship**:
- Provide training and guidance to veterinary technicians on radiologic procedures and interpretation.
- Participate in continuing education for the veterinary team on imaging advancements.
**Qualifications**:
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited institution.
**Desired skills and experience**:
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Board certification in Veterinary Radiology (e.g., by the American College of Veterinary Radiology [ACVR] or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging [ECVDI]).
Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or academic setting is preferred
