**Assistant Manager / Manager (Festivals & Precinct Development)**

The Festivals and Precinct Development (FPD) team under HeritageSG organises two annual signature community outreach events - the Singapore HeritageFest (SHF) and the Singapore Night Festival (SNF) - and the place management of the Bras Basah - Bugis (BBB) arts and heritage precinct. We are seeking a dynamic individual to develop festival programming and placemaking initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Project Management and Event Execution**
- Lead the planning and project management of festivals such as SHF and BBB placemaking initiatives
- Oversee the curation, operations, and execution of programmes, including liaison with external agencies, event logistics, and visitor management
- Manage budgets, including the disbursement of funding and honorariums to external partners
- Prepare and assess vendor quotations and tenders, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures

**2. Stakeholder Management and Partnerships**
- Build and sustain strong relationships with collaborators and stakeholders across the heritage and cultural landscape.
- Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with community groups and relevant organisations to support festival programming and placemaking efforts.
- Secure new sponsorships and partnerships to enhance festival impact and reach.
- Recruit, engage, and manage volunteers to support the effective delivery of initiatives.

**3. Programme Curation and Content Development**
- Drive the conceptualisation and curation of compelling festival and placemaking programmes that reflect the objectives of the initiative
- Collaborate with artists, creatives, community groups, and content experts to co-create programmes that are meaningful, inclusive, and relevant to the heritage
- Understand contemporary trends in the heritage and cultural sector to ensure festival programming are relevant to various audience segments
- Evaluate programme impact through feedback and data insights to inform future curation

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Events Management, Hospitality & Tourism, History or related fields
- 3 - 6 years of work experience, with a strong background in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale events, festivals, or placemaking activations, with the ability to navigate evolving project needs and environments.
- Strong grasp of government procurement and finance processes, with the flexibility to adapt to new procedures and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Proactive and resourceful, with a growth mindset and the ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and embrace change in a fast-paced setting.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is essential; proficiency in other local languages is an advantage.
- Interest and awareness of arts and heritage sectors in Singapore
