Install, configure, and maintain AIX, Solaris and Linux operating systems on standalone and virtual machine (LPAR/VIO, LDOM and VM )
- Detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX related problems on servers.
- Provides daily support for management for all of Unix operating system including capacity utilization, OS Patches, storage allocation, volume management, and hardware maintenance.
- Manages operating system installation and administration of all UNIX environments.
- Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyses capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes.
- To perform OS hardening by following standard policy
- Maintain documentation of AIX hardware and software components and user and operator procedures.
- Perform performance maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Experienced in Ansible playbooks and Automation is mandatory.
- Redhat Openshift knowledge is mandatory.
- Experienced in Containers / Kubernetes an added advantage.
- Knowledgeable in IBM architectures, Oracle Servers and Dell server technology.
- Practical experience in writing and debugging shell scripts in a standard UNIX shell.
