**What the role is**
- The Internal Audit Unit enhances corporate governance by carrying out audit assignments of the Ministry and our Statutory Boards. Apart from planning and performing financial, compliance, operational and value-for-money audits, the unit also provides advice and recommendations on internal controls, best practices, effectiveness and efficiency of operations, as well as good accounting practices while reviewing processes holistically.

**What you will be working on**
- Your duties would include: - Assist in the development of the internal audit plans for MND and some of our Statutory Boards - Carry out audit assignments, follow-up reviews and ad-hoc projects or special reviews - Explore the use of IT tools to improve effectiveness of audit processes - Provide advice on control and governance practices - Procure, monitor and manage outsourced internal audit services - Plan and execute ad-hoc projects to raise awareness and promote good corporate governance within MND family - Provide secretariat support to various committees

**What we are looking for**
- Possess a relevant field of study in Accountancy, Business, Finance or related discipline with at least 2 to 5 years of experience in auditing (either internal or external) - Meticulous, effective problem solving with critical thinking skills and a balanced sense of perspective - Proficient in Microsoft Office tools - Proactive and self-motivated with good report writing, communication and interpersonal skills - A good team player with the ability to work independently
