Plan, organize and direct the development of Health, Safety and Security Risks Prevention projects defined at the EDP group level within the scope of EDPR APAC, promoting measures, promoting the creation of a culture in these areas among the workers, and supporting appropriate initiatives in accordance with the general policy of the EDP group, to ensure the achievement of the strategic objectives defined in these areas by the company.
Coordinate the HSEQ duties in the APAC Region covering the entire project lifetime from the prospects to the operational stage of the projects.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop within the scope of EDPR APAC initiatives and projects in the field of Workplace Risk Prevention defined at the EDP group level, promoting its effective implementation and monitoring in the different business units, promoting and supervising the implementation of the appropriate tools, as well as coordinating and supervising the performance of consultancies or other entities that collaborate with EDPR APAC in these processes, in order to ensure the achievement of the objectives defined by management;
- Coordinate the internal communication of EDP values in the areas of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance, promote the identification of all workers with these values and their integration in the development of professional activity, to create a company culture effectively aligned with safety;
- Analyze and manage the needs related to health and safety, environmental and QA/QC issues in countries that are managed from the APAC platform
- Direct and coordinate the periodic elaboration from the business areas, reports and indicators established by the Management in the areas of their competence, ensuring its correct and timely elaboration, to ensure that the company has a real visibility and updated in these areas;
- Analyze, together with the heads of the business units and corporate departments, the periodic indicators of their areas of competence, proposing and promoting initiatives for improvement, intervening in the resolution of conflicts that may arise, and supporting their implementation, in order to achieve the objectives set for each area;
- Homogenize the way of managing health and safety, environmental and QA/QC issues in different countries, considering legal and cultural differences
- Coordinate the preparation of expenditure budgets and investments of the projects under their competence, detect deviations and decide on corrective measures in order to achieve efficient and effective objectives;
- Support the negotiations and technically support the different group directions in order to achieve the objectives of the strategic plan;
- Prepare annual training plan and training content on safety issues of each of the countries managed from the APAC platform that must be carried out to workers and coordinate with HR their inclusion in the annual training plan;
- Manage and deliver the initial training of now workers who become part of the department in any of the countries that are managed on the APAC platform;
- Represent EDPR APAC before public and private agencies and institutions in matters related to their competence, asserting the interests of EDPR APAC in order to obtain improvements to the business plan, enhance its image and competitive position.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of the HSEMS and its follow-up through effective coordination with H&S managers and HSEMS manager.
- Participate in HSE Commissions and committees in its area of influence.
- To participate and follow Corporate initiatives of Health and Safety and Security Programs (such as PlayitSafe) and guidelines
