**Overview:
Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM) Global Sustainable Investment team is recruiting a **Global ESG Reporting Manager **. The role offers a unique opportunity to join an Asian headquartered investment manager with a growing global footprint. The Global Sustainable team is in the process of **building a Global Sustainable Investment hub in Singapore **, with regional teams in Japan and United Kingdom.

A key part of the role involves having a good understanding of market, client and regulatory expectations and requirements on sustainability reporting and disclosures. This will result in providing advise and guidance on the necessary actions to be considered regarding new ESG reporting and disclosure trends and requirements, that may impact the company regulatory obligations and its reputation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement an ESG reporting process that will support the reporting and disclosure requirements of Nikko AM in a timely and efficient manner, incl. managing the day to day operations of the production of various ESG reports
- Compiling, editing and project manage the preparation of external annual sustainability reports such as TCFD reporting, UK Stewardship UK Code, Sustainability Report (investment related disclosures), IFRS Sustainability Disclosures Standards
- Develop and project manage UN PRI annual submission and other relevant reports for industry led initiatives, with input from key stakeholders
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to source information for reports, develop content and validate information
- Oversees the preparation of responses for external ratings, assessments and various ESG-linked annual submission
- Coordination and completion of ESG-related components of RFP document and client/consultant questionnaires
- Monitoring of company progress against Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative commitments
- Preparation of marketing materials explaining ESG approach to prospects, clients and consultants
- Project manage and provide content support for other strategic projects within the global sustainable investment, incl. ad-hoc research Create internal alignment and awareness within the functions and governance structures regarding the preparation of the annual reports and other submissions, reporting process, reporting requirements and action plans to improve ESG reporting and disclosure
- Identify, advise on and implement new ESG reporting and disclosure practices, based on a deep understanding of requirements from regulators, and sustainability factors
- Conduct materiality assessments and ESG reporting benchmarks against peers to stay abreast of industry trends and best practice
- Point of contact for internal inquiries regarding firm level reports such as TCFD, UN PRI and Sustainability Report
- Build relations with key internal stakeholders to progress the ESG reporting and disclosure priorities within the company

**Experience and Qualification**
- Minimum 5 years (preferably more) of work experience in financial services preferably in asset management with exposure to investment stewardship activities or experience in a specialist ESG organisation/NGO with transferable skill set
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong working knowledge of ESG standards, regulations, stewardship codes and sustainability related issues
