Logistics Manager

The logistics manager plays a critical position to oversee the efficient and smooth flow of goods and personnel within the Maritime Group. Responsible for managing transportation, distribution and storage of goods, as well as coordinating the travel logistics for the Group.

This role is key in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services to both internal and external customers, while maintaining overall logistics excellence. Additionally, the manager is responsible for overseeing corporate and crew travel through the management of travel agencies.

Logistics management (Materials)
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to streamline operations, enhance supply chain performance, and align with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in logistics operations, supply chain management, and transportation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor logistics performance. Regularly analyze data and performance reports to identify trends and areas that require attention.
- Implement and optimize logistics software and automation tools, wherever possible, to improve processes.
- Develop and manage logistics budgets, optimizing logistics costs while maintaining service quality and meeting customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as technical, operations, and commercial, to ensure seamless integration of logistics processes and alignment with overall business goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.
- Promote and implement sustainable and eco-friendly practices within logistics and supply chain operations.Focus on enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring on-time deliveries and promptly resolving any logistics-related issues.

Logistics management (People)
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of business travel arrangements for employees, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, ground transportation, and travel documentation.
- Collaborate with travel agencies and vendors to negotiate contracts and secure the best rates for travel services. Work closely with Human Resources to develop travel policies and guidelines that optimize travel processes and ensure compliance with company standards.Implement strategies to enhance travel efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.

Vendor management
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.Identify potential risks in the supply chain and logistics processes and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or Management Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain management, or a related field Or
- Recognition of sound experience in place of formal qualifications is acceptable.Proficiency in logistics software and supply chain management systems.

Good to have
- High level working knowledge and experience with maritime industry spent, and related contract management gained from shipping or oil & gas services industry.
- Experience in managing travel logistics is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in logistics management and supply chain optimization.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
