**Project Director - Architecture (Based in Singapore)**

**Expected Contributions**:

- Contribute to Facilities programs and feasibility studies in support of new development projects.
- Coordinate and deliver Property Improvement Plans in support of both new development and operating properties.
- Provide Project Design Management for new build, conversion, and extensive renovation projects, including managed, franchised and company-owned hotels, to ensure quality control, brand compliance, operational acceptability, and adherence to standards.
- Manage project design submittal process to scheduled deliverables.
- Track and forecast opening schedules for new development properties.
- Manage design consultants, their proposals, contracts, and invoicing to project objectives.
- Contribute to creation of the project budget and management of project budget.
- Ensure the selection and development of building products relevant to the brand specifications.
- Manage selling the brand and design and negotiation of projects to the external customer.
- Provide information, interpretation, and guidance to outside owners/franchisees as well as internal/design/construction staff for adapting brand standards to specific projects.
- Manage project communication to owners, franchisees, internal project stakeholders and disciplines.
- Participate in design review and construction site visits.
- Responsible for documenting, maintaining, administering, and improving the processes for delivering services.
- May supervise, direct, motivate and train assigned staff.
- May contribute to organizational structure, staff selection, performance management, salary administration, and career planning.

**Education/ Experience**:

- Minimum 4-year college degree in a related design discipline is required; an accredited Architecture program is preferred.
- 12 or more years progressive experience in architecture at a design firm for hospitality projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, scheduling, project & database mgmt. software (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCad, Bluebeam, Adobe).
