**Auction Manager**

Winefield’s is the first auction house from the Netherlands fully specialized in the buying and selling of wine. Since its beginning in 2006, Winefield’s has grown into an international auction house, holding four auctions per year in both Amsterdam and Singapore, proving to be the market leader in both countries.

**Job Title and Job description**

We are currently looking for an **Auction Manager **to join our team in Singapore.

**Sales & Business Development**:

- Lead and manage marketing activities to achieve business plan objectives
- Identify short/long term business opportunities to maximize business growth
- Grow local presence and build strong relationships with regional and international clients
- Identify new potential buyers and sellers for the auctions
- Develop commercial strategy for Winefield’s Singapore in alignment with the Head Quarter in the Netherlands
- Organise and host tastings/private events at third party locations

**Sales Management**:

- Organise four auctions per year for Winefield’s Singapore and act as the main point of contact
- Manage all auction processes and supervise daily operations
- Liaise with clients as needed for all consignment related information, details, and issues
- Ensure that the logistics are well taken care of. Proactively track receipt of wines and follow-up on open issues.
- Manage day-to-day client enquiries across all communication channels
- Communicate effectively with HQ in Netherlands and focus on collaboration in marketing, sales, and operations
- Synthesize monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on progress and development
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments

**Job requirements Jobs requirements (such as qualification, skills required, experience)**:

- You have at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Experience in managing overseas office with reporting lines to headquarter in Europe
- 5 years or more of commercial experience, with a focus on business development to drive growth and building client relationships
- It is a must to have WSET 1 & 2 certification (Wine & Spirit Education Trust)
- Preferably a background within Investment Banking, or experience in connecting with high-net-worth individuals.
- Experienced in hosting and organizing wine events
- Having your own personal network of HNWI contacts and/or an existing network in the wine industry in Singapore will be a significant advantage
- Experience in managing billing and other necessary financial reports
- Good networking, influencing, and communication skills
- Experience living overseas for an extended period of time
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, Word, and Excel.
- Fluency in English, Dutch and German
