Resident Physician

**Responsibilities**:
You will be working with a multidisciplinary community team to provide medical oversight, recommendations and treatment to elderly patients with mental illness and dementia residing in the community. You will need to be well-versed with the patients’ psychiatric conditions and dementia.
- You are required to conduct home visits and assess patients in their home setting; which could also be in nursing home or care centres in all areas within Singapore.
- You will need to work with various community agencies to co-manage patients. Your job includes educating the patients, caregivers and community partners. In addition, you are also required to conduct training and workshop to partner agencies.
- You are also responsible for maintaining the standards for professional medical practice and work alongside the rest of the clinical team within IMH and NHG.**Requirements**:

- MBBS registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
- Preferably with MMED or Postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatry. Those with relevant training and experience will be considered for senior positions.
- Preferably have worked in psychiatric setting
- At least 3-5 years post housemanship experience
- Knowledge of mental health is mandatory
- Strong communication skills especially in engaging and collaborating with multiple agencies and caregivers
- Strong sense of ethics and integrity when carrying out duties
- Able to work well with a multi-disciplinary team
