Thales today employs over 2,100 people in Singapore across all its business areas.**The **Senior Systems Installation Engineer:
An Engineer who plans and conducts professional engineering work with mínimal supervision, but with guidance on more complex features and who is usually engaged on more responsible engineering assignments requiring substantial professional experience.

Decisions are related to tasks performed, relying upon precedent or defined procedures for guidance. Recommendations are related to solution of problems in connection to the tasks performed.

The Engineer may assign and check work of technical staff assigned to work on a common project.
**As a **Systems Installation Engineer**, you are accountable for**:

- Collaborating with Systems Engineering Manager/Project Manager to plan the project, ensuring that the project requirements, specification, design drawings, health and safety proposals are developed, understood and agreed
- Producing engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, installation, testing and acceptance plans, and other engineering documents required in relation to the system solution(s) as part of the installation delivery,
- Ensuring infrastructure requirements and design are met, including shop drawings, cable trays and paths, labelling schema, wiring schedules, rack and console equipment layouts etc
- Suppoorting the installation team (including sub-contractors) for the installation of all site equipment, and providing technical support for all site installation activities
- Monitoring and managing partner, subcontractor and supplier performance, investigating and undertaking corrective action for performance issues as required
- Supporting the team during the Deployment System Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities per site including the qualification of sub-contractor test artefacts, evidences and reference with respect to both the commissioning and completion
- Participating in reviews to ensur the planning, oversight and base-lining of all key industrial partner and subcontractor deliverables within the scope of the system deployment
- Maintaining strong communication with internal teams, partners, sub-contractors and customers to ensure optimum performance
- Ensuring conformance of all the installation activities under the Heath, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management Plan

**KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

**To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated the following knowledge and experience**:

- A tertiary qualification in IT, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering or other relevant qualification
- Solid experience in the design and installation management of networked computer system solutions, including large scale structured cabling systems for networked computer infrastructure
- Experience in management of engineering and/or installation teams within a matrix environment, and supervising subcontractors
- Previous experience in the installation, verification and validation of hardware systems, including installation practices and standards
- Detailed knowledge of engineering documentation and an understanding of MS Visio
- Excellent customer facing skills
- The ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders to deliver across a complex, matrix environment.
