**Roles & Responsibilities**

Next Level Genomics is a Singapore-based next generation sequencing and genomics company focused on delivering the highest quality sequencing data in the market. We specialize in long-read and HiFi sequencing using PacBio technologies, as well as single-cell and spatial genomics for academic, research and clinical partners.

**Job Summary:
The **NGS Lab Officer **will engage in all aspects of carrying out experimental work and be involved in the formation of SOPs, lab protocols and general running of the lab. The officer will implement and optimize protocols for data generation on the PacBio systems and other relevant technologies as they are added.

The Lab Officer will work directly with the CTO.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Hands-on development, optimization and performance of PacBio sequencing protocols and molecular techniques
- Explore new technologies to add to the capabilities of the lab
- Design and execute experiments independently
- Troubleshoot, analyse, summarize and communicate data accurately and succinctly
- Keep a detailed record of experiments
- Actively provide scientific input in team meetings
- Work closely with other colleagues on projects to provide inputs related to company matters
- Participate in experimental design, troubleshooting and new protocols and technology development
- Interact directly with customers/partners to design and implement projects and assist in delivering of results to clients

**Desired Skills and Competencies**
- Degree/ Master’s in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field, or a Diploma with strong evidence of skills in molecular biology or NGS.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in research and/or in a service lab with at least 1 year specifically in molecular biology preferred
- Experience in bioinformatics or computational biology is a plus
