Singapore EXPORT TRADING COMMODITIES PTE. LTD. Full time

As a Trade Operations officer, you will be responsible for the following:

- Prepare sales and purchase contracts
- Input of contract and logístical information in the in-house system.
- Negotiate and produce documents for contracts based on Letter of Credit terms.
- Arrange and monitor shipment/delivery based on contracts.
- Paying proper attention to the administration by checking shipment documentation and ensuring that payments are made and received on time.
- Making reservations and booking of invoices.
- Appointing cargo superintendents.
- Contacting vessel agents and thoroughly checking the commodity contract, as well as charter party terms.
- Presenting prepared documentation (such as bill of lading and certificates of origin) accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Negotiate with customers, suppliers and warehouse companies.
- Invoice customers (and/or suppliers/traders) and control all payments by paying high attention to credit risk.
- Maintain, monitor and extract information as required from the trading and accounting systems.
- Liaise with shipping companies on arrangements, vessel schedules and cargo tracking
- Coordinate with traders, shipping and finance colleagues in other regional offices and clients
- Manage other ad-hoc operational activities
