Manager - Risk & Control Enablement and Ric

**OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB**

The Risk and Controls Enablement team is responsible for ensuring that new and changing processes are assessed, awareness is raised, and risk mitigations are in place. They achieve this through the effective design & implementation of controls to enable compliance and supporting the business through new and changing processes.

This role will work closely with Retail Technology to strengthen and drive effective Risk Management and assist with uplifting controls and risk culture.

**RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES**

- Responsible for the design and implementation / support the business to design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
- Identify, lead and manage the continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights and reports.
- Identify delivered risks from changes to products, processes, technology, new or modified third party or outsourced supplier arrangements, and the organization, which affect our customers and stakeholders.
- Perform RiC assessments in accordance with the RiC standard and procedure.
- Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements.
- Responsible for the effective design of controls for all new and changing processes and operations and support the business through the implementation.
- Identify, initiate and manage actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls, including issues identified through audits and other external processes.
- Assessment of compliance with applicable regulatory obligations relating to the use of technology services and third parties.
- Responsible for data quality in/maintain various databases (including RiskInSite) and monthly management reporting.
- Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business.
- Provide support for Senior Manager, Risk and Control Enablement and Risk in Change for Retail Technology
- Responsible for ensuring risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and updated when risk trigger events occur.
- Responsible for ensuring the correct risk and controls overlay the end to end process mapping and documentation management to support the control process.
- Work effectively with Line 2 colleagues to determine optimal course of action to remediate any significant data integrity issues within the BU.

**QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience**
- 7-9 years’ experience in banking/financial services/other relevant experience **and/or **Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operational Risk management roles
- Control design experience would be advantageous
- Tertiary qualifications in risk management, finance, accounting or related field
