**SUMMARY**

The Laboratory Scientist role involves being a full member of the laboratory team, rotating through all disciplines (Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Urinalysis). The post holder is required to:

**STATUS**: Full Time

**LOCATION**: ACM - Singapore

**DEPARTMENT**: Laboratory

**SCHEDULE**: Days; Mon-Sat

**ATTRIBUTES**
- Alternatively a minimum of 6 months experience at ACM Global as a Trainee Clinical Laboratory Scientist

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Analysis & Reporting.** Perform and authorise maintenance, calibration and quality control as well as routine analysis. Be able to deal with interruption and be able to prioritise tasks appropriately. Be able to use the laboratory IT system to enter/validate results and to look up previous results, to generate worklists, and to enter data results. Participate in internal and external quality assessment as required. Assist in other laboratory areas, including sample reception and sample storage as required. Participation in all activities that seek to ensure compliance with GCP guidelines and CAP accreditation.
- **Training & Development**. Assist in the testing and assessment of new equipment and introduction of new techniques and assays. Contribute to writing and reviewing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Participate in Continuous Professional Development.
- **Daily Operations**. Process the daily workload in close collaboration with colleagues. Participate fully in the general housekeeping of the laboratory, including counting stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

The post-holder is responsible for ensuring that all the above processes are performed in accordance with:

- Singapore Ministry of Health HCSA regulations
- The current ICH Guideline for Good Clinical Practice
- Definitive study protocols
- Current Health and Safety Legislation and Human Resources policies.
- Other legislation that is relevant to the responsibilities of the post Standard Operating Procedure
