Singapore Hyphen Group Full time

We are looking to hire an in-house Paralegal to be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore who will support the team focusing on our emerging markets businesses (The Philippines and Malaysia).

**YOUR TASKS**:
Assisting with legal and compliance matters affecting Hyphen Group including:

- Preparing and reviewing standard legal commercial documents, handling routine legal work, responsible for contracts with suppliers, customers, contractors, sub-contractors, as well as keeping these contracts up to date with changing legislation
- Review of agreements/contracts for corporate functions such as IT, Finance, HR departments
- Handle company secretarial work, drafting minutes and resolutions with minimum supervision
- Support senior lawyers to review NDA/mandates for business projects
- Liaising with teams in each of the Hyphen Group brands to help with ad hoc legal and compliance queries across a range of areas (e.g. employment/HR, data protection, intellectual property, consumer protection, financial regulation, corporate governance)
- Liaising with external legal counsels and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions
- Organising legal documents and dealing with requests for information from regulators, service providers (banks, auditors), investors etc.

**SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- Good academic qualifications (hold an undergraduate business or law degree (e.g. LLB, BCL, LLM) and have good results
- 1+ years' experience in a similar legal support role (paralegal / legal executive either in private practice or in-house, preferably with experience in a technology focused team)
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Business level of fluency in spoken and written English & Mandarin Chinese
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team setting and autonomously
- Excellent contract management skills
- Interest in technology/fintech
