Design and develop mechanical design for power electronics and electrical systems
- Create aerospace standard manufacturing drawings for converters and battery systems
- Communicate with the electrical team and perform design changes
- Perform mechanical/ structural simulations for optimum design
- Create technical documentations for design and concepts
- Communicate effectively on the work progress and highlight the issues/risks to the manager
- Collaborate with team members to work effectively and solve day to day issues
- Responsible for on-time delivery of the milestones
- Participate in generation of intellectual property (IP) ideas. Recognize and document new technology and submit for possible Patent Application.
- Build hardware and perform experiments to troubleshoot
- Responsible for equipment in the lab and their usage
- Guide interns and FYP students in mini projects

**Job Requirements**:

- Masters Degree in mechanical or aerospace with minimum of 4 years related experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience on the design and mechanical integration of electrical or electronics related systems
- Expertise in CAD software packages such as Soildworks and mechanical analysis tool such as ANSYS
- Should have a Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical and Electro-mechanical components and systems
- Knowledge on machining process, sheet metal and design for manufacturing, assembly is essential
- Experience on composite structures, design of Jigs, Fixtures and 3D printed parts will be an added advantage
- Ability to co-ordinate with the other discipline engineers within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions
- Maintain good customer and stakeholder engagement throughout the project cycle.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, global team environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to drive customer requirements
- Support the achievement of department objectives aligned with global objectives
