About You

You’re a talented and highly intuitive interaction designer, able to get a handle on even the loosest of briefs; knowing when to push creative boundaries and when to exercise pragmatism. You think in design, and love creating dynamic, engaging interactions and content. You’re a self-starter, confident in conveying your creative concepts to a broad audience of digital practitioners and stakeholders. You’re able to blend strong design skills and brand awareness with an ability to translate a brand’s presence into intuitive interaction patterns. You have a strong understanding of how to create visual impact, whilst respecting the tenants of inclusive design; ensuring all work you deliver meets high Accessibility standards, in addition to meeting the needs of the audiences you’re designing for. You are very familiar with the needs of APAC audiences, specifically in countries such as Japan, Australia, HK and China; understanding of how they consume and browse different altitudes of information, and this knowledge informs your design solutions.

As a digital innovator you understand how a digital experience works. You strive to create best-in-class experiences, bringing together a balance of visual finesse and cutting-edge technology. You have the confidence and passion to keep up to date with the latest digital design trends, you’re curious and always look for inspiration from new sources, far beyond the world of financial services.

Adept at working in both an agile, lab-style environment as well as large-scale production and delivery environments, you are familiar and engage with all stages of the digital product lifecycle; from storyboarding and concepting to producing high-quality production-ready UI assets and interaction patterns that helps our firm push boundaries and create outstanding experiences. You are familiar with working with design systems and will help to champion the global Beacon design system standards and contribute to additional standards through the work you deliver. You will represent the APAC region as we make global design decisions, ensuring that the specific design needs of our APAC clients are always properly understood. You will be a champion for our Accessibility program.

Position Overview

Whether delivering solutions for external clients and prospects or internal associates, you will develop a strong empathy for the users you are crafting UI interaction-enriched experiences for. Motion and engaging digital interactions are vital ingredients for brands to stand out in a competitive market. We increasingly need to ensure we deliver meaningful, original and seamless digital experiences that our clients and prospects genuinely want to engage with. You’ll work closely with the wider design, digital and content teams to ensure our digital experiences stand out with the graceful and seamless interaction language that we use. You’ll have a solid understanding of how to optimise interaction design for all screen sizes, considerate of best practises and web vital statistics such as page performance and loading speeds, to ensure your solutions are fit for purpose.

This role requires you to be a true creative partner to the Design, Product Owner, Content, Marketing and Technology teams. Together you’ll concept and create essential interaction patterns, policies and artefacts, ensuring alignment on the creative idea and delivering experiences that elevate our brand.
