**Team Summary**
The Client Services Team provides industry-leading operational support to Visa’s clients around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we bring the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services. We are trusted partners to Visa’s clients, providing expertise to support and successfully grow their business.
The Global Configuration and Licensing ensures the integrity of the payment system and supports Visa clients in the development of their electronic payment business. Licensing grants client licenses and conducts initial client onboarding and due diligence checks. Also, Licensing maintains client lifecycle updates including sponsorship change, legal name change, ownership change, license upgrades and downgrades; and manages client numerics for their Visa programs and services.
**What a Senior Licensing Consultant does at Visa**:
The Senior Licensing Consultant (Onboarding Engagement) is responsible for providing upfront Licensing consultancy as to address and manage client expectations and clarify requirements to support a good first impression of onboarding as a client with Visa.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Be the main point of contact for Asia Pacific region to provide guidance and support to new and existing clients on licensing and Onboarding queries, including business expansions/mergers/acquisitions.
- Lead the team and process both in front of clients and senior leadership, and ensure stakeholders are provided with appropriate support from across Visa teams.
- Owns and present to client and internal stakeholders on the Onboarding process, timings, and expectations. This may require creation and/or customization of materials for the client(s) and internal stakeholders, providing status updates and advocating for the client with various internal functions.
- Represent the Licensing team as appropriate, sharing updates, reports and information as needed.
- Obtain feedback and contribute to continued process improvement in improving the Customer experience of Onboarding with Visa.
- Take a leadership role coordinating within Licensing team, market leadership and key cross functional teams including AML, CSR, Risk, Legal, Account Management and Implementation to ensure client concerns from Licensing perspective are addressed and client has a clear view of the Visa requirements for Licensing given the client scenario.
- Be accountable for prioritizing conflicting and competing demand across the business to ensure Visa resources are deployed to maximum effect, considering objective level agreements and other expectations in place.
- Work with other Visa client-facing teams including Digital Partnerships, Merchant Sales and Acquiring, to identify new and ongoing requirements and identifying new innovative solutions.
- Understand and keep up to date the regulatory landscape and work with stakeholders such as Government Engagement and Legal team to support regulator’s requests as needed.
- Be the voice of licensing and involved in projects related to new domestic processing requirements
- Engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as Implementation, risk, market, legal are appropriately involved and informed about relevant issues and effectively engaged in Licensing needs for clients.
- Lead and drive process improvement initiatives and transformation impacting both process and tools.
- Build awareness of Licensing per Visa rules, policies and processes with targeted audiences across AP markets.
