The inspector must have and prove experience in the following areas to effectively verify quality during the FPSO integration phase, with a specific focus on turbomachinery (turbogenerators and compressors) and dynamic equipment: Verify compliance with API RP 686 and the manufacturer's instructions.
- Monitor the receiving, storage and preservation phases in accordance with ABNT NBR ISO-9001-2008.
- Check all contractual documents and Data Book against the supplier's requirements.
- Check equipment delivery and dimensional compliance with API RP 686 and the manufacturer's drawings, with specific attention to turbomachinery tolerances and the specification of dynamic equipment.
- Ensure the integrity of the packaging, verification of the contents and the supply of special tools and spare parts in accordance with API RP 686, adapted to the needs of the turbomachinery and dynamic equipment.
- Monitor the adherence of preservation activities to the plans and requirements of API RP 686, with emphasis on the protection of turbomachinery and the installation conditions of dynamic equipment.
- Checking the issue of the mechanical completion certificate. Also check the direction of rotation of the engine, the installation of coupling protection and system tests in accordance with API RP 686, with emphasis on the functionality of turbomachinery and dynamic equipment.
- Ensure proper installation practices, including flange protection, alignment checks, torquing procedures and component positioning in accordance with the manufacturer's standards and guidelines, specifically for turbomachinery and dynamic equipment.
- Confirm readiness through functional testing, instrumentation calibration, system flushing and verification of operating parameters, emphasizing the performance indicators of turbomachinery and dynamic equipment.
- Commissioning support: Work with the manufacturer's representatives during commissioning, including support for start-up procedures and system performance checks, with special attention to the integration of turbomachinery and dynamic equipment.
