THE Consultancy provides strategic, data-driven guidance to universities, governments and other institutions with an interest in higher education around the world. Building on our vast sector expertise and long history, we support our partners to build effective and sustainable strategies aligned to their unique mission. Understanding that all organisations are unique, we combine proprietary and primary data ‒ including data underpinning THE’s suite of rankings, bibliometric data, and bespoke surveys and other data collection ‒ to design customised solutions to clients’ needs.

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage client-facing research projects (online surveys, qualitative research etc.) designed according to client needs ‒ either internal stakeholders or commercial clients
- Support the wider consultancy team in data analysis and reporting in projects involving universities, governments, corporates and other entities; playing a significant role in the successful delivery of such projects
- Maintain a detailed understanding of THE’s data and rankings methodologies
- Contribute to the Consultancy team’s strategy and business development
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge, including attendance at THE events and reviewing professional publications

**Experience and Skills Required**
- Track record of project management and successful delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projects
- Experience in research design - including writing questionnaires and topic guides
- Demonstrated success in presenting complex data clearly and accurately in both verbal and written formats, with a keen eye for data visualisation in creating presentation slides
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various internal stakeholders and external clients (including senior stakeholders from academia, government and industry)
- Confident and independent self-starter who is able to hit the ground running; comfortable working within teams as well as being able to work effectively autonomously
- Ability to work to agreed deadlines, working well under pressure, with excellent planning and organisational skills in order to manage and prioritise own workload
- Passionate about the role of higher education
- Willing to work irregular hours and travel internationally
- Strong MS Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Educated to at least BA/BSc level
- Desirable: experience of online survey software (e.g. Qualtrics and Survey Monkey) and the analysis software Q-research
