**Your role**
- Are you an expert when it comes to performing second-line-of-defense activities? Do you ‘think on your feet’, balancing commercial objectives with legal, regulatory and ethical considerations? Do you advocate for the importance of operational risks?
- We’re looking for someone like that to:
- Be a senior team member in 2LoD (Second Line of Defense) APAC Cyber & Technology Risk; support IT and Operational Risk Control management with effective challenge, sound advice and material support across the full range of risk management lifecycle activities, including risk identification, assessment, and oversight of remediation planning and execution
- Provide functional and regional specific thought leadership for Cyber & Technology risk topics and input into the Global IT Risk strategic direction. Ensure active management of IT risks by 1LoD in accordance with the Group’s Risk framework across the region. In particular, ensure risks are properly evaluated, recorded and mitigating action plans are monitored through to completion
- Manage regulatory interactions and be the SME on regulations in Singapore where they concern technology and cyber risks. This includes oversight of general queries, consultations, inspections, incident reporting. Direct and strong experience with the MAS is essential.
- Implement the 2LoD Cyber & Technology risk governance model and supporting methodologies. Undertake thematic risk reviews in order to proactively identify risk issues and act as an SME reviewer of technical risk assessments covering the functional areas
- Build strong relationships with Senior C&ORC, IT and Business stakeholders (including Legal, Compliance, HR, Technology, Group Information Security Office, BCM and Audit functions) across the APAC region to proactively identify risk issues, drive remediation activities and continuously improve 2LoD Cyber & Technology Risk services
- Work with C&ORC counterparts and act as the 2LoD Regional regulatory SME and provide governance oversight of 1LoD IT in maintaining compliance with local regulations. Must be able to understand complex issues quickly and set priorities according to technical as well as strategic considerations. Ensure appropriate vetting, notification and escalation of any regulatory review points

**Your team**
- You’ll be working in APAC Compliance & Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) - Group Functions (GF) Cyber & Technology Risk in Singapore. We are part of the Compliance & Operational Risk Control function and provide oversight of technology, information / cyber security, outsourcing, BCM and program management risks across the UBS Group.

**Your expertise**
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or relevant discipline
- 10+ years of experience within Information Technology, Information Security, or Technology Risk ideally in the financial industry, with a particular focus and practical experience on risk management, information security, project management, or production support
- Experience of working in the financial sector across a broad spectrum of business types (Investment Banking, Wealth Management, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory environment in Singapore, and engaging directly with regulators
- Experience in conducting thematic review and control testing
- Solid understanding of Risk Management Frameworks and Information Security principals
- Analytical, with the ability to provide practical solutions for minimizing risk
- Result-oriented and assertive (you don’t shy away from challenging situations)
- A team player with the ability to work independently to organize, manage and complete projects within tight deadlines
- Able to drive complex cross-functional programs
- Able to communicate with different levels of seniority as well as able to communicate technical issues in business language within a global organization
- Good soft skills and an ability to influence thinking
- Strong communication skills in English
