**Role Objectives**:The primary objective of MRM is to ensure that business units of the bank optimizes the risk-reward relationship and do not expose it to unacceptable losses.
This objective drives all of the activities conducted within MRM and we work closely with risk takers, risk managers and control and support groups in the process to ensure these objectives can be met.
**Key Stakeholders**:Senior Management, Front Office and Regulators.

**Your key responsibilities**:
- Review relevant macro-economic developments and specific credit developments affecting issuers in Asia Pacific.
- Setting market risk appetite for Credit Trading Asia desk and ensure it is mapped to bank strategy and capital planning.
- Partner with the Front Office to support business strategy within risk appetite, and challenging desk on risk taking decisions where appropriate.
- Performing deep dives on portfolio, stress test scenario analysis to identify and highlight material risks. Ensure “no surprises” by escalating key risks to senior FO and Risk management.
- Monitor and review sector and single name concentration across Asia Pacific and across asset classes is within risk appetite, escalating where necessary.
- Constantly assess that the market risk measurement processes are appropriate in terms of both completeness and capturing the nature of the risks within the portfolio.
- Working collaboratively with business and other infrastructure functions to implement global and local market risk initiatives.
- Lead, develop and mentor junior MRM (For VP level only)
**Your skills and experience**:
- Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in Finance discipline or quantitative discipline.
- For AVP: Established experience (6-10 years) in market risk management or related function, particularly in covering Asia Credit asset class.
- For VP: Established experience (>10 years) in market risk management or related function, particularly in covering Asia Credit asset class.
- 2-3 years’ experience in credit risk management and be familiar with Asian credit markets and/or experience in credit analysis of companies or sectors.
- Have an in-depth understanding of financial products and market risk measures.
- Have strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Be able to interact and build relationships with both senior trading and risk staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and prepare to take on or lead additional projects/initiatives.
- Excellent verbal/ written communication skills.
- A good team player.
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies.
