Senior Business Solutions Strategist/ Senior Advisor - SEAK Public Sector

**Job Overview**:
The Application Cloud Transformation (Act) Group collaborates with our major customers in the Enterprise and Public Sectors to create transformation strategies and business cases. With former C-Level and industry consultants in our ranks, we are authorities on uncovering hidden barriers, finding opportunities, and formulating meaningful IT transformation plans. The team exclusively engages Directors, Public Sector Secretary/C-Level executives in our most strategic SEAK Public Sector Customers to help them navigate the people, process, and technology challenges of Digital Transformation.

The Senior Business Solutions Strategist, reports to the ACT Leader within the SEAK Geo with dotted lined reporting to the APJ Director of Advisory Services. The focus is on SEAK markets, with the role based in Singapore; however also includes supporting strategic opportunities across the Asia, Pacific, and Japan region. You will promote adoption of VMware solutions into a defined set of Public Sector accounts of VMware’s business. This exciting strategic role combines the competencies of strategy consulting, executive engagement, deal structuring and leading projects.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

In the first 6-12 months, you will focus on:

- Setting a 90-day plan of embedding yourself in the business
- Focusing on the VMware value proposition and vision for the ACT business
- Bring Industry Thought Leadership to the fore
- Set an SME focus that you will become the "go-to" for Industry, Seminars, and white paper development
- Developing trusted relationships with your internal account teams
- Bring an agnostic view to your engagements driving value through outcomes-based consultancy engagement
- Embedding yourself at the right level in your client environments, and developing a clear path of transformation opportunity success and horizon opportunity view

As a Senior Business Solution Strategist (BSS) in the ACT Group you will play an important role in building and sustaining executive customer relationships and trust in our most strategic accounts. Your role is to be a consultative thought leader that partners with the customer to craft a transformation strategy that aligns with the customers business objectives and VMWare’s offerings.

Your role combines design-thinking, strategy consulting, deal structuring, and enterprise architecture. You will facilitate cross-functional sales and account teams on high-profile engagements, executive presentations, and workshops, represent VMware at executive forums, and educate VMware account teams on best practices and industry trends. As a Senior Business Solution Strategist your role will be impactful, visible, and rewarding.

- At least 10 years of experience handling public sector, education institutions, and nonprofit accounts in the Singapore market
- Robust understanding of how public sector sales and public agencies operate in Singapore
- Good understanding of the Singapore Government procurement process and contract vehicles
- Understanding of the financial and technical challenges faced with running modern day IT operations
- Consultative Selling Experience
- Naturally motivated and driven
- Ability to communicate and simplify complex topics
- Technical and Business writing and presentation skills
- Understanding of Business (financial accounting, ROI, TCO, budget planning, organizational design)
- Presentation skills including public speaking, meeting facilitation and white boarding
- Project Management
- Languages: English at professional level
